IIPM Adds Another Feather to Its Cap: This Time Gets the Best Business School of Asia Award
IIPM is India’s global b-school. It was founded by renowned economic visionary Dr. M.K Chaudhuri in the year 1973. IIPM is ranked No.1 in Placement Record, Quality of Faculty and Global Exposure. It is ranked No.2 in Student Development, Potential to Network and Infrastructure. It is ranked No.7 in Course Contents amongst all B-Schools in India.
IIPM was adjudged the 2011 Best B School in Asia Overall at the 2nd Asia’s Best B-School awards ceremony that took place at Singapore. Last year the award had gone to SP Jain and thus for the second consecutive year it was an Indian B-School that took away the prestigious award given in association with CMO Asia. It was a glittering function that was held at the Suntec, Singapore with participation of B-Schools from around 29 countries including Australia, Hongkong, Singapore, UAE etc. The best B-Schools in Asia and people of Asian origin were awarded. The award ceremony was held amongst a Galaxy of luminaries from the world of education and corporate.
Prof Arindam Chaudhuri (Honorary Director, IIPM Think-Tank) was elated and very much excited to get the award and said, “It feels great to achieve such a prestigious award. We at IIPM are excited to get Asia’s Best B School.
This award is a tribute to Dr. MK Chaudhuri, who had the amazing vision of incorporating macroeconomic principles so that B-Schools in India not only serve the purpose of private sector but also the nation on the whole. In the last few years of course our Industry Interface, Research and Global Exposure has made us what we are today – the largest B-School in the world,” a Press release said.

IIPM seems to have come out the winner in all this, with recent b-school surveys ranking them very high. In 2009, Zee Business survey ranked IIPM 5th overall (1st in Global Exposure – again ahead of all the IIMs – 5th in Industry Interface, 7th in Course Contents, 8th in Placements). The same year, India Today group’s Mail Today ranked IIPM 1st in Placement Record, Quality of Faculty and Global Exposure, and 2nd in Student Development and Network and Infrastructure in the NCR region. Hindustan Times Best B-Schools of India ranked IIPM Delhi 9th overall in India amongst all private B-Schools in India.
