Face Painting Competion at IIPM Gurgaon and IIPM Dehradun

Face Painting – IIPM Gurgaon

With an aim to bring out originality and innovation of all current batches, IIPM Gurgaon conducted a Face Painting competition on March 17, 2011.

The theme for the event was ‘FESTIVALS OF INDIA’, truly impeccable and picture perfect for the fresh & enthusiastic minds of IIPM. The affair was conducted in the institute’s cafeteria and had a participation from three teams with five students each.

The intriguing and vibrant lettering was followed by a brief presentation by the teams to ensure excellence of their masterpieces. The panel of judges included the Dean of IIPM Gurgaon and senior faculty members who evaluated the teams on the basis of their skills. The winning team was awarded with merit certificates.

The event was a colossal victory with respect to creativity and style.


Face Painting Competion – IIPM Dehradun

The face painting competition was held at IIPM DEHRADUN under ALCHEMY CLUB on 17th March 2011.The students were seen fully enthusiastic about the event. There were 6 teams of 3 students each; two painters and one whose face had to be painted. The theme given was “DUAL PERSONALITY”. The students came up with vibrant ideas based on the theme. They painted the faces as happy vs sad, positivity vs negativity, cross cultural differences, angel vs devil, different facets of mother earth as the one which gives us life and the other comprising of the natural catastrophe. It was a wonderful show amalgamating team efforts and camaraderie. The winning team was the one depiciting varying facets of the earth comprising of SAGAR, GEETIKA AND GEETANJALI.1st runner up was the team showing sadness vs happiness comprising of TENZIN, BHAVYA and PRANAY and 2nd runners up was the team who depicted devil vs angel consisting of ASHUTOSH,SURENDER and SHEESHPAL

The Dean Mr Vivek Chaturvedi and the Associate Dean Mr Akshay Chutani appreciated the students for their zealous efforts.

All in all a very colourful and enjoyable event.

Hawk, Basket Ball Tournament

IIPM Bangalore on 22nd February 2011 held its annual Basketball Tournament in Indranagar Basketball Club which saw students of the Fall Winter 10-12 and winter (11-13) participate in the tournament along with the faculty team.

The Faculty team saw a lot of excitement from the crowd as well as the teams on court and the faculty team went down to the wire with the chairperson of Club Torque Rahul Sharma himself starring in an amazing comeback staged by the faculty team to qualify to the Semi Finals after being 10 points down with 3 minutes left in the game. At the same time players like Somanna and Mathew from the students impressed everyone with their skills.

The tournament also saw a number of heated conversations on court among the players which added more flavor to the entire event and finally the Team from Winter A1 who also defeated the faculty team in the Semi Finals by 1 point walked away as champions after beating the UGP team in overtime, in a very closely fought game.

IIPM Outbound Team Building.

On 13th January 2011 the students of FW 10-12 were taken to the IIPM electronic city campus for an outbound team building activity. The students were asked to form groups and name their groups after which various activities such as Human Machine, Mine Field, Spider Web and dog and the bone were held in which the students participated with utmost enthusiasm. The excitement was all round and was shared between the students and the faculties accompanying them for the event.

The proceedings were overseen by Pr. Tareque Laskar and Pr. Pankaj Chaudhary and the daylong event concluded with students leaving the campus with a smile on their faces and also getting to know each other better.
